As reported by TMZ, reality TV’s “Honey Boo Boo” is preparing for a weight loss procedure after her 17th birthday. According to Gina Rodriguez, Alana Thompson will undergo surgery in NYC Queens in late August.

She’s getting a suture sculpt endoscopic sleeve from weight loss doctor Steven Batash, which can cost $13K. We’re told Alana is currently 275 pounds and wants to reach 150. She’s tried diets and exercise over the past year but no luck.

With regards to support, Alana has a lot, her sister Pumpkin, and her new guardian, have her back and have signed off on her getting the procedure.

Dralin Carswell, Alana’s boyfriend, is also on her side. He’ll undergo the same procedure for himself as it’s something they both want to do.
