Which Tesla to Buy in 2022? – Don’t Make a Mistake!

If you’re like me, you’ve probably noticed a lot more Tesla vehicles on the road these days compared to a few years ago. This buyer’s guide will help you decide which Tesla vehicle is best for you.

Tesla is currently manufacturing and delivering 4 vehicles, 2 of which are slated for late 2022 or 2023.

The last S is for So Much Better Than Gas Cars. Seriously, driving an all-electric car like a Tesla has many advantages over a gas car, including no more stopping at gas stations, no more oil changes, less maintenance, and a very quiet drive.

Safety

All Tesla vehicles use an all-electric architecture that provides a very low probability of rollover risk and occupant injury.

Tesla vehicles are designed to reduce rollover risk and improve emergency avoidance handling. They also have large crumple zones in the front and rear to soften impact and come standard with Automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot collision warning, and lane departure avoidance.

Software

Tesla’s software is the core of their vehicles and allows them to stay at the cutting edge of car technology. They do not have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, but their software is very easy to use and has almost everything you need.

Tesla’s cars come with 30 days of complimentary Premium Connectivity, which includes Live traffic visualization, Satellite-View Maps, Video Streaming, Music Streaming, and an Internet Browser. For $10,000 you can get Full Self Driving Capability, which includes Autopilot.

Battery

Tesla is currently offering four vehicles with four different battery options. The battery options will likely increase in price as Tesla scales production of their new battery, but for now, the current battery options are still fantastic cars.

Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 is Tesla’s smallest and most affordable vehicle. It comes in a single motor rear-wheel-drive option with 272 miles of range and a 0-60 speed of 5.8 seconds, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive option with 358 miles of range and a 0-60 speed of 4.2 seconds.

There are two free paint colors to choose from: pearl white multi-coat or midnight silver metallic. Premium paints cost $1,000 to $2,000 depending on the color.

All interiors include a touchscreen display, USB charging ports, a premium audio system, heated front and rear seats, power-adjustable front seats, a wood veneer dash, and leather seats. The car comes standard with black interior.

New Model 3s come with an automatic trunk and black trim. They are sporty, sit low to the ground, and are a ton of fun to drive.

Model Y

The Model Y is Tesla’s most affordable SUV and comes in two variants, the Long Range Model Y and the Performance Model Y. Both are dual-motor all-wheel drive and have a range of 330 miles.

The paint options and prices are the same as the Model 3, and a tow hitch costs $1,000.

The Model Y has the same interior features as the Model 3, but can be upgraded to 7 seats. The third row is very small, so don’t expect to comfortably fit two adults back there.

The 5 seater Model Y is more popular than the 3 seater Model Y and has a lot to like – long-range, quick performance, all-wheel drive, and much more room for cargo and passengers compared to the Model 3.

Model S & X

The Model S and Model X are Tesla’s flagship vehicles. They share many features and have different price points, but both have a 17″ Cinematic landscape Display, ventilated and heated seats, Tri-zone temperature controls, and HEPA filtration.

The 2022 version of the S and X comes with a new steering yoke that replaces the normal steering wheel. It has touch capacitive buttons for turn signals.

The Tesla Model S and X are built for speed and range and have the lowest drag coefficient on Earth. They come in two variants – dual motor or tri-motor – and have the most storage space and towing capacity of any electric SUV.

The Model X has a range of 351 miles and 0-60 speed of 3.8 seconds and costs $106,190 for the dual motor. It can be upgraded to a tri-motor plaid model for $15,000 more and has a range of 335 miles and 0-60 speed of 2.5 seconds.

The Model S and X are extremely expensive but they are the best vehicles that Tesla currently offers. If you can afford the Model S, it’s an insane car and very useful, but I wouldn’t recommend the Model X.

Cybertruck & Roadster

The Cybertruck and Roadster are two futuristic vehicles that are not in production yet. The Cybertruck has a stainless steel exoskeleton and will have a ton of cool features like Tesla Armor Glass, adjustable air suspension, 100 cubic feet of exterior, lockable storage, and seating up to 6 people.

The 2nd Roadster is the most insane car, electric or not, and will have a range of 620 miles and a 0-60 speed of 1.9 seconds. It’ll cost you $200,000 and up for a founder’s series, it’ll cost an additional $50,000.
