It’s awesome and wonderful when someone–a complete unknown–shows his bravery and steps up to save another person’s child! I salute them! And how sweet it was that the baby survived that terrible fall! The presence of the mind saved the child’s life. That young man deserves a lot of praise. It’s a miracle that the toddler came out basically intact from the initial brutal impact against the ledge. A huge thank you to the two people who saved the baby from an additional impact with the concrete sidewalk!
People praise the man for his bravery because they don’t know what could have happened if he hadn’t been there.

This is exactly what humanity should strive for, that man can get hurt but doesn’t flinch even though that child hit the floor above. She stood there, ready to catch the child. A 31-year-old man named Shen Dong was parking his vehicle across the street from the apartment building where the little girl fell out of the sixth floor window.
Shen heard a loud noise and looked over to see what had fallen onto the steel rooftop of a housing complex.
He caught the toddler and saved her life from death or life-long disability. So glad that man was able to save the child. Glad she is doing well. Blessings for all! 🙏❣❤️
He threw his phone down and got ready to catch the two- year- old girl who had just fallen from the fourth floor.
She fell from the terrace and plunged toward the ground but was rescued by Shen and the woman he had brought to help.
On July 20, 2020, local police released the video of a traffic accident that took place on July 19, 2020. They also updated the well-being of both the driver and the passenger involved in the accident.
The girl, who was from Tongxiang in Zhejiang province, had injuries to her legs and lung but is otherwise in stable conditions, thanks to Shen.
“I can’t remember the details, but I know it was instinctive to reach out to her.”
When Shen saw that something had fallen from the window, he immediately called emergency services, but quickly threw his phone away so that he could save her when the time was right.
He said that he realized that it was a young girl when he saw her move on the steel roofing. She fell again before being caught.
“It was fortunate that I managed to get there in time. Otherwise, it would have felt terrible,” he said
He believes that she survived because of the steel roofs that softened her fall.
The video went viral on the Chinese microblog platform Weibo when the Weibo account of the Jiaxing City Police Bureau posted the footage.
“He is an online superhero who steps forward bravely at a crucial moment. I hope he gets a mobile phone as a prize because his old one must have broken.”
Many people pointed out how lucky it was that the child survived the first fall. If she had fallen straight into Shen, it could have been much worse for her.
