Huawei is still working to launch Harmony OS as soon as possible. This is the name given to its new operating system for mobile devices (tablets and smartphones), with which the Chinese company hopes to completely displace Android.
The reason why Huawei has decided to adopt this strategy can be found in the restrictions it has been receiving from the Trump Administration. Now that it has been confirmed that Biden has won the election, we might think that Huawei could rethink this approach, and choose to continue with Android, but seeing all the money the company has invested and the problems that its dependence on the United States has brought, it seems unlikely.
Barring any last minute changes, which would be a huge surprise, all things considered, Harmony OS will most likely be here to stay. Huawei has confirmed that 90% of its terminals will make the jump to Harmony OS. So far, a total of 42 devices have been confirmed as “compatible” with that operating system:

According to the company, the first developer beta of this system will arrive on December 18. In addition, it is said that, by April 2021, the first public beta should already be available.
