In response to the European Union’s energy crisis, Russian president Vladimir Putin has denied any involvement on their part, telling them if they want more gas, they should lift the sanctions preventing Nord Stream opening.
President Vladimir Putin said the European Union should lift sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to get more gas and that Russia would fulfill its energy obligations.
Europe’s gas prices have more than doubled from the start of the year amid a decline in Russian supplies. Russia has cut off gas supplies to several countries, and the Nord Stream 1 pipeline has an engine oil leak.
