The Ukrainian military has claimed a major victory in the Kharkiv Region, and the blue and yellow flag is flying once again.

Ukraine’s counter-offensive has been bolstered by foreign support, including Germany’s foreign minister. But Russia is framing things differently and has regrouped troops in the region to bolster efforts along the Donetsk Front.

Most of the Russian forces in Kharkiv were people who’ve been basically ganged into fighting for Russia. Ukraine has been able to effectively take advantage of that weakness.

The German Foreign Minister was in Kyiv on Saturday, reiterating old pledges and saying that new weapons would be delivered to Ukraine, but no progress was made on the Leopard tanks.

Engineers have shut down the sixth and final reactor at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant as a safety measure amid growing concern over the risk posed by fighting in the region.

In recent years, the political situation in Russia has become increasingly tense, and the group refused to give concerts and held a secret concert for a select audience. Authorities demanded video and surveillance photos to identify the people who attended the concert.

Russia’s blacklisting of artists and pop stars critical of their war in Ukraine is a dangerous form of censorship. It not only silences those who would speak out against the war, but it also discourages others from doing so. This kind of censorship is a grave violation of freedom of expression.
